About
Play is our favourite way of learning
Diane Ackerman

Play and Therapy offers a comprehensive program that is individualized specifically to your child’s needs utilizing evidence-based interventions such as verbal behavior therapy, and naturalistic teaching.
These programs are developed and supervised by a board-certified behaviour analyst (BCBA) with over 14 years’ experience in Applied Behaviour Analysis using a naturalist play based approach.
Our Philosophy
Our area of expertise is in teaching young children crucial development milestones through the incorporation of play in the child’s natural environment and providing a fun, creative, and nurturing approach to communication. Our goal is to teach toddlers and young children functional and age-appropriate communication skills to navigate their environment. This is always individualised for each child and improving the overall family quality of life.
We promote (as supported by early intervention behaviour intervention research) that parental and family involvement (engagement) is a crucial factor for the success of interventions. Therefore, we encourage and emphasize on a collaborative partnership with parents (or potential teachers) and a multidisciplinary team including speech and language and occupational therapy.
